November 16th 2024: Netflix has announced than 40 million viewers watched last nights fight between Social Media’s Jake Paul and, boxing legend Iron Mike Tyson. The fight itself wasn’t that exciting but at least the 58 year old Iron Mike Tyson didn’t embarrass himself against the 27 year old Jake Paul.
Mike Tyson won the first two rounds but from then on for the following six rounds his legs failed him. He wasn’t able to move quickly enough to land many punches against his opponent half his age. Jake Paul was able to move in quickly land punches then back up which Iron Mike Tyson absorbed but wasn’t able to provide much of a response.
The fight ended with the outcome being decided by the judges but it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that Jake Paul won the fight. After the fight Jake Paul gave a nice tribute to Iron Mike Tyson then Mike decided to challenge Jakes older brother Logan to a fight. Also then the Pauls dad inserted himself while they were taking a photo of Jake and Mike Tyson.

The Netflix broadcast was its first live combat event and, had many technical issues including but not limited to buffering and, for some black screens. I didn’t experience black screens but i did experience the buffering and well as slowing down as well as sound issues at times. The issues were only an minor inconveniences for me but showed how difficult it is to broadcast over millions of streams at once even for Netflix.
The NFL who is broadcasting its Christmas Day games on Netflix live i’m sure will be talking to Netflix over the technical issues so there is not a repeat during its games. The only drama was an accidental showing of Mike Tysons naked butt briefly thankful i was going for a beverage at the time and missed that moment.
