"The OC" Struggles In Its Premiere

Thursday nights premiere of “The OC” struggled in the ratings with only 3.4 million viewers. Worse in some ways that the low rating was the 3% share in the critical 18-49 age group which is not good for a show that used to dominate the teen market. Last season which was down from its highs the show was still getting 6 million viewers on average and a 7% share in the critical 18-49 age group. FOX had put the premiere episode on My Space before the premiere to boast the show but it doesn’t look like it worked. The end of “The OC” may be close which is a shame because I enjoy the show, but last season the show got so unbelievable it made it hard to watch.
