Katie Couric moved from NBC’s “Today Show” to take over the helm of the “CBS Evenning News” on Labor Day and got 13.6 million viewers for the premiere; Since that high point viewership has been steadily sliding to last weeks 7.04 million viewers, behind ABC World News Tonight at 7.97 and NBC Nightly News at 8.56 million viewers.
