For the third year in a row American Idol on FOX will have the highest ad rates on television. The price for a 30 second ad on the show will range from $500,000 to $700,000 the publication Advertising Age reported on Thursday. The ad rates will probally go even higher as the season goes on and the competition becomes more intense on the show. Last seasons finale ads cost $1.3 million each and i wouldn’t be surprised if its higher this year. Another show House is getting a boost from American Idol and follows it on Tuesday nights is getting an ad rate of $400,000 per 30 second spot.
