When “American Idol” returns to FOX in a couple of months it will have a four hour premiere which will be spread over two nights beginning January 16th 2007. This edition which will be season six comes on the heals of huge numbers for season five last year; in which the show averaged over 30 million viewers which propelled FOX to the number spot in young adults.
