Wednesday 29th 2023: Starting next week is the start of the rollout of CNN’s new daytime programing block called CNN News Central. The new block based out of New York is starting Monday April 3rd 9 am to noon Eastern Time with anchors John Berman, Kate Bolduan and Sara Sidner.
On April 17th the second part of the new CNN News Central will start airing out of Washington DC from 1 pm to 4 pm Eastern Time, with anchors Brianna Keilar, Boris Sanchez and Jim Sciutto. The new look daytime is going to have the heavy use of visuals and graphics which should give viewers the feel of CNN’s popular election coverage.
The new look daytime CNN will also include new sets for both programming blocks as well as highlights its correspondents in their news gathering activities. The revamp is part of a make over at the channel which has seen big ratings drops with overall viewers down 27 percent from a year earlier.
