Disney Plus which now has over one hundred million subscribers has announced a goal of having over 100 new titles per year added to the service. The service that recently passed the 100 million subscriber mark will have productions under its various banners including the Marvel and Star Wars brands as well as Disney Live Action, Disney Animation well as National Geographic.
One of the earlier complaints about the service was lack of content for adults it seems with the huge ramp up in production will solve that as well as giving new content for the younger people. Disney Plus had an amazing start but it needs to keep adding fresh content to its catalog to keep people subscribing month after month.
The 100 titles per year seems a lot but some of that number could be movies or limited runs series or regional content such as Spanish or Portuguese content for Latin America.
