The season premiere Thursday night of CSI on CBS was beaten in the ratings by the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy on ABC. This was a big surprise as CSI has been the top drama on television for a while. Grey’s Anatomy had 25.4 million viewers for its premiere while CSI had 22.6 million viewers; The CSI viewers is a drop from last years premiere which had 29 million viewers. This is ABC’s best Thursday night ratings since May of 2000.
