In a surprise move to many the Fox Business Channel has cancelled its highest show Lou Dobbs Tonight. The news comes after a $2,7 billion dollar lawsuit by Smart Matic against Fox Corporation and, some of its hosts including Lou Dobbs over comments about their product.

I have known about Lou Dobbs since the mid 1980’s when he was host of Moneyline, CNN’s nightly business show; In more recent years even though the channel is mean’t to be a business network his show has been more know a showcase for his extreme right wing views.

Yes the show is Fox Business Channel’s highest rated show but the network doesn’t get huge ratings and, his extreme views made it difficult to get advertisers.

Now that President Trump is no longer President who Lou Dobb was a big supporter of as well as being a big part of his show as well as the huge lawsuit is why Fox Corporation decided it was time to cancel the show.

Its unlikely Fox Corporation will announce why the show was canceled but either way Lou Dobbs will sit home getting paid out the rest of his contract. Getting paid to stay home when a star gets fired often happens because the networks don’t want the host to jump right away to a rival network.
