My Network TV the new network that begun by showing soap operas every week night and recaps on Saturdays is cutting back on the number of days it will show them, they will only be shown on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8pm to 10pm. Monday nights will now show “International Fight League’s Total Impact” which is a mixed martial arts organization with a team format. The show will follow the fighters and coaches inside and outside of the ring over a nine-month 11 event season. That leaves Thursday and Friday night which will be “My Movie” nights from 8-10pm showing Hollywood movies. This new schedule kicks off March 8th with “The Rundown” starring the Rock. The idea of My Network Television was to produce inexpensive soap operas which wouldn’t need huge ratings to be profitable; This idea struggled as the soaps got lower than expected ratings so this new direction is trying to improve the networks fortunes.
