January 6th 2023: Paramount Plus is coming to Delta Airlines SkyMiles members starting this Spring the airline company’s loyalty program. Delta SkyMiles members will have access to the services premium tier on their personal devices while using the airlines in flight Wi Fi for free.
Once the members are connected via the in flight W Fi to the service they will be able to create a Paramount Plus account and watch the entire library for free; After doing this the new members will get a free trial for the service the length of which hasn’t been announced yet.
Delta has been updating its on board satellite internet with the plan on February 1st to roll out a upgraded service by Viasat on 700 of its aircraft which includes upgrading its seatback devices to smart screens.
Paramount Plus has been aggressive in trying to work out deals to increase its subscriber base with currently sits at about 46 million subscribers. Previously Paramount Plus signed a deal with Walmart to be part of its Walmart Plus service which similar to Amazon Prime provides a delivery service for a monthly or yearly fee. By signing up with Walmart and Delta Airlines as their streaming partners expose them to many more customers some of which could subscribe to their service.
Paramount Plus has also come hit shows outside of the shows from the CBS broadcast Network shows such as 1883, 1923 and the Tulsa King have shown that Paramount Plus is a contender in the streaming wars.
