August 16th 2022: Roku has added 14 addition channels on its free streaming service. The new channels added include Six Scripp’s Channels including Court TV and ION Mystery as well as more NBC Universal local news channels. The new channels also include a new channel for Western movies and series.
Some of the other channels added include BBC kids, Cheaters, as well as two other ION channels the main ION channel and, ION Plus. Platforms like Roku and Pluto have become popular with their free ad supported channels and, its a great way for the studios to license their programs which would normally just sit in their vaults. At a time with rising inflation having a free ad supported product with many channels or options it a big plus.
