January 20th 2023: The hugely successful and long running streaming series The Outlander finally has been cancelled and will end in 2025 after its eighth season. The Starz historical time traveling romance is about to start its seven season as news of the cancelation after the eighth season is announced.
Fans of the show shouldn’t be too upset as the show has had an amazing run. If you are a fan of the show you can look forward to several familiar faces returning to the show for season seven; One of the familiar faces returning is Graham McTavish as Jamie’s uncle Dougal MacKenzie.
The show is based on the best selling novels of Diana Gabaldon and follows the love story of a nurse from 1945 who gets transported back in time to 1743 Scotland and falls in love with the landowner Jamie played by Sam Heughan. If you are upset about the show ending a prequel series Outlander: Blood Of My Blood has already been greenlit.
