WWE Network To Close April 4th

Back in January the WWE and NBC Universal announced that the WWE Network would close as the content is migrated to the NBC streaming service Peacock. The official date of the closure is April 4th in North America although the WWE network at least for now will still be available outside the United States.

Subscribers to the WWE Network will still be able to watch the Fastlane pay per view event this month but for Wrestlemania 37 the biggest event of the year they will have to subscriber to the Peacock which costs $5 a month for the service with commercials or $10 a month with no commercials.

It’s sad to see the WWE Network go as it was on of the first major streaming services but with so many big players now in the space it makes sense for WWE to focus on programming instead of trying to get subscribers to the WWE Network.
